Bolsa Chica Stewards - Make a Difference at Bolsa Chica
On the first (1st) Sunday of each month and the third (3rd) Saturday of each month, the Bolsa Chica Stewards are out on the Bolsa Chica Mesa restoring native vegetation to the landscape. They plant new plants, water old plants, pull invasive weeds, and generally have a fun time doing their part to restore the Bolsa Chica ecosystem. Junior Bolsa Chica Stewards
Hey Kids!
The Junior Stewards is a branch of the Bolsa Chica Stewards. Our main objective is to get kids out to the Bolsa Chica to help restore the natural habitat there by clearing out non-native plants and putting in native plants like coastal sage. The Bolsa Chica is one of the last remaining wetlands in California, and a very important stop for birds on their migration routes. Kids up to age 13 are welcome to come help out! Surfrider Foundation
Surfrider Foundation hosts beach cleanups twice a month.

Respect Our Beaches
Respect Our Beach has two or three trash pick ups a month at Bolsa Chica State Beach. Arrive between 8 and 10:00 am to have the $15.00 entrance fee waived.
2nd Sat is at Tower 17, Bolsa Chica, 8 am -12 Noon
4th Sat is at Tower 2 @ Brookhurst St & RJ, 8 am -12 Noon
