The activities of the Amigos de Bolsa Chica are supported entirely from dues, private donations, grants and fund-raisers. Like any organization or business, the Amigos must meet the costs of staff payroll, utilities, office rent, insurance, educational materials and a myriad of other expenses that are necessary to fulfill our pledge to acquire, preserve and restore the Bolsa Chica, and to educate people about the importance of wetlands. With the opening of the newly restored wetland, public education will become our principal activity. You can help inform and educate the public, young and old, about the value of wetlands by joining the Amigos de Bolsa Chica. All contributions to Amigos de Bolsa Chica are tax-deductible (FIN 33-0752003) as allowed by law under IRS Code Section 501(c)3.

Ralphs Rewards Program
Important Change in Ralphs Donation Program!

Ralph’s Stores have been very generous to us when our members link their Ralph’s Rewards cards to the Amigos. Ralph’s requires all of us to signup annually.

Participants will be required to register for the new term at www.Ralphs.com or by using the scanbar letter at the register after September 1, 2009.

As many of you know the online method is time consuming so please feel free to give Amigos Office Manager, Laura Holdenwhite, a call and she will mail you the scanbar letter that you can take to Ralph’s and the checker will scan it along with your groceries. Ralph's Rewards card members do not need to be members of Amigos to participate with this program, so please encourage friends and other family members to sign up too.

eScrip Donation Program

After many months, we are thrilled to report that our eScrip donation account now reflects our Amigos de Bolsa Chica name with our new 501c3 tax status.  We want to thank everyone who signed up for this donation program under the Bolsa Chica Foundation.  Your registration has been preserved under our group ID 500000659. 

The beauty about this donation program is that over 150 merchants are registered through this program, including Vons, Macy’s and many online sites. To register, please click on the link escrip.com/.  On the upper link bar, click on members/supporters, then click on Sign Up.  From there, you will enter the group ID 500000659 to begin your registration process.  Because this program is associated with many merchants, contributions are calculated by the store cards and credit cards entered on the secured site.  Once you have entered all your information and reviewed your summary, complete the registration process.  eScrip will automatically send you information and updates about all the many businesses and services that participate in making donations.   Donations from the program are calculated monthly and then deposited into our bank account.
